Growing up in Manitoba’s Parkland region with our family farm alongside the edges of the Duck Mountains, we were surrounded by tree covered forests. Every autumn the valleys & hills would see a change in colour as the foliage turned from green to magnificent shades of red, yellow, orange and brown. Though only present for a short period of time, the autumn colour change was, and remains truly amazing. While we might not have appreciated it at the time, it was especially good when viewed from the seat of the old open top John Deere 4020 tractor, baling straw for winter bedding in the months ahead.
